When I first opened Lightroom, I was pleasantly surprised to see the new dark color scheme. It allows you to set the whole application to a dark color scheme. And in addition to Dark, there are also adjustments for the following color schemes: Black & White, Classic Film, Classic Film – High Key, Cool, Day. In addition to those four, there is also a set for Night & Low Key, Warm, Holiday & Desert.
Rounding out the new dark color options you have the following: Shadow, High Contrast, Fade to White, High Contrast Black and High Contrast White. In Dark mode you can have shadow/High contrast color schemes for photos and video.
As I discovered this week, you can easily switch between the modes using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Tab. And if you want to switch to the previous mode when you close the application, choose the following keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Tab.
You can also choose the following Keyboard shortcuts for quickly switching between Photo, Video or Slideshow view: Ctrl+W for switching between photo/video/slideshow; Ctrl+Shift+A to switch between full screen photo/video/slideshow in vertical mode or horizontal mode (as the case may be); and Ctrl+Shift+S will switch between vertical and horizontal mode (as the case may be).
Inside the panel there are the following effects: Swirl, Framing, Vignette, Adjust Color, Highlight & Shadow, Highlight & Shadow, Black & White, Soft Light, Dark & Light, Brick, Pop, Pinhole, and Film.
